Family Activities and Resources

  • Baby Café
    The Baby Café charity coordinates a network of breastfeeding drop-in centers and other services to support pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
  • Boston Central
    Information for families on events, organizations, and resources in and around Boston.
  • Boston Mamas
    A lifestyle portal for families in Boston and beyond
  • Departments of Recreation:  Many city and towns offer free or low-cost activities, classes, and events for children in their communities.
  • Family Fun
    Great ideas, practical advice, and fun stuff to do
  • Libraries:  Find out about events for children at public libraries in the area.  Events include story times, summer reading programs, and music for kids.
  • North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network
    The North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network is a community based family and early childhood educators support and education program. To participate, you need only be a parent, early childhood educator, or caregiver of a child from birth through entering kindergarten, and live or work in Melrose, Stoneham, or Wakefield and surrounding towns.
  • Woburn Boys and Girls Club
    A non-profit organization serving youth in Woburn and surrounding communities.  Their mission is to inspire youth to find their greatness.
  • YMCA
    Information on programs and activities for adults, children, and the whole family at community YMCAs.
