Parents of Tots

Building a Supportive Social Network

Registration for our Spring 2018 playgroups has closed. Please check back in June for registration information for our summer playgroups.

From March through June, we are hosting two mixed-age playgroups: Wednesdays at 10:00 and Fridays at 9:30, as well as a new playgroup for families with babies under the age of 1.

Please email pot.president@gmail.com with any questions.

What are playgroups?

Playgroups are one of the many wonderful member benefits of Parents of Tots.  These are groups of parents and toddlers who meet regularly for fun, friendship and community building.  We ask that all participants anticipate attending more than 70% of playgroup meetings.

After all, building relationships depends on the continuity of the group.  If you prefer a more drop-in style group, then we encourage you to check out our weekend Tot Times. Learning to socialize is a lifelong process, one that your toddler is now discovering firsthand. For the next few years your toddler will build on his/her first experiences, learn to play games, hold conversations and make friends.

But playgroups don't just benefit children; they're great for parents as well. You can catch up on current events, linger over a cup of coffee, and connect with your community. Your kids, of course, have the opportunity to interact, play with new and different toys, and if you're really lucky, wear themselves out enough to take a long nap or an easy and early bedtime!
